What is becoming of a man that lets his heart beat to the drum of a distant voice. What is becoming of a being that enables its life to live in waters that would otherwise drown. What is becoming of a soul that does attempt to sing a tune it does not know, or a voice that does not call out joy?
For to sing of anything other than that which is in harmony with oneself, to dance to a tune that is not in step with one’s passage and to climb along a path that is crumbling away from the journey that you have set, is to ignore the most valuable of life’s learnings.
For life is never better understood than when we simply allow it to unfold in the way that it will be. To feel its breath, to sense its being, to hear its song, is to understand its meaning.
And meaning this, we mean that letting go of the deception that guidance comes from order, that understanding comes from control, that happiness comes from hard work, is to accept the most important lesson of all; that life lives best when it is allowed to grow by itself.
So as you think about the roots of who you are, think about where they bed themselves, think about the nutrients that you provide them, think about the sun you allow to shine on you, think about the air that you do breathe and think about the places that you do set yourself within. And as you think of these things, think of how it makes you feel. And if you feel anything other than peace with your self, think of how you may allow a new path, nurture a new beginning and foster a new home for your being.
And as you step away from this now, as your eyes glance towards another distraction, as your being pulls you towards something more pressing, know that in these words lies your truth, your understanding and your wish of life anew.
